At Rincón Meztitla, we believe that enjoying nature also means caring for it. Our event and lodging garden is nestled in the heart of Tepoztlán, a magical place that deserves to be protected. We know this region faces environmental challenges, such as water scarcity, and that's why we've taken an active responsibility for the environment.
How we did it
Rainwater harvesting
We have a large-capacity cistern that stores enough rainwater to operate for months without having to extract water from the ground.
Soapy water recovery
Greywater from sinks and showers is treated and reused to irrigate our gardens, helping to keep the space green without wasting valuable resources.
Recycling and composting
Separating waste and transforming organic waste into compost is part of our daily routine. This practice nourishes our soil and reduces our environmental impact.
Bathrooms with biodigester
Our restrooms are equipped with a biodigester system that transforms waste into nutrients, preventing soil contamination and contributing to a more sustainable cycle.
